Ecology and abstraction have long cohabitated in a multitude of cultures throughout time and across the world. In this Zoom event titled A Time and a Place for Everything: Conversations on Ecological Abstraction, we will consider how abstraction is being employed today in artmaking, in our present time of ecological reckoning. The gathering will take the form of an informal, breakout-room-style chat with the goal of creating dialogue and camaraderie around the who, what, and why of abstraction within the ecoart sphere and beyond.
